It took deleting an old VZ messages app and installing new VZ Message + app, but now it works! I’m using new app on T-Mobile iPhone and MacBook Air, and both work great! Thanks Verizon.

I have found a really frustrusting bug in the current version of the Mac app only. It erases everything you typed in the outgoing message box if it goes past a certain number of characters. The Windows and mobile ports don’t have this problem. Please fix ASAP!

When I am typing the mesage deletes itself out, thats been happening a while, but now as of yesterday when I send/receive a text it has this underneath every text I send or receive, it says ———=_Part_1546922_1662774219.1449760696898 and the last 6 numbers change overtime, this is so frustrating I love being able to text from my macbook, but this pretty much has ruined it for me, please fix this!!!!!!!!

I love the app. when i switched to el capitan. I started to have problems with it. When i try to type my message. the message would earse itself. Then i was have to start over. Than now the message after being end or replied. After what the person would say below that it would say- - - - - - - =_part_ than some number. Rather than. Before i switched to el capitan. Everything with the app was good. Please fix the issues.

same problem as potterdood, added information to text messages, not pleasing to read. Come on Verizon, you just updated this on the 20th of November, and this is the state of the app? Help! added to message, something like this “——=_Part_12900305_19845237.1449803123814” huh? What is this?

Updated application last night. Now I can no longer open it. When I open it, it shows a gray screen, with a white rectangle. I’m assuming it’s trying to show a dialogue but nothing appears.

12/10/15: lately it’s been a bit buggy on the Mac side of things. Every incoming message contains a signature that looks like this ———=_Part_26200945_1098725403.1449778874121. the ——=_Part_ remains the same and the number changes each time. Verizon support has been less than helpful. 12/11/15: I was just told by verizon that they don’t support the app. I was also just told by Verizon that they can’t do anything to assist me. If Verizon puts the app out there for use, how do they not provide support for it? I was told that they don’t see any signatures attaching to the incoming messages. LOL. I agree, it’s not a signature.

What has recently started is that new text has been coming up under conversation text. It’s not a signature, so what is it and can it go away. Secondly, I can send emojis to other people, but they cant send them to me because they dont appear! What?! PLEASE FIX.

Really was hoping this app would work for me. I love the idea of cross platform messaging. But the Mac app show this disgusting "———=_Part_” as the last line of every message. With the exception of the ones that you send from the mac app itself. But every single incoming message has it. You would think it would just be easy to ignor the last line. but it is annoying to say the least. In some ways it makes me want to stop using the app all together.

The app update puts a weird code after each message. Please fix this bug.

As with the other reviewers, the text clears out automatically WHILE typing. I have to type a message very fast and hit enter before it deletes all the text. Sometimes it deletes all the text after just a few characters. This bug has made the app practically unusable for sending messages. I am able to recieve messages but I am unable to type messages 90% of the time due to the fact that the text is disappearing as I type. I feel as though what is happening is as the app checks for new messages on the server it resets all of the UI controls. This effectively removes whatever text the user is currently typing from the text box. Recently some garbled text has been appearing after every message recieved.

As others have noted, I now have "———=_Part_[insert numbers]” at the end of every message that I receive. It’s annoying.

Since updating to the latest version, my incoming messages and my outgoing that were sent from my phone come across with a "——— =_Part_…” at the end of them, and I no longer can receive emojis. Also, links that I send from my phone are missing.

Wait to download or install this app until after they fix the auto-erasing and ———=_Part_’ bugs. Verizon has stated on their Community Forums that a fix is coming sometime this week. A little too ugly and difficult to use right now. I have loved using this app for quite some time now, but have refrained until the immediate bugs are fixed.

Still plays audible alert when receiving a sms, although do not disturb is turned on. I tried also to just turn off the play audible alert option for verizon messages inside Notifications settings but it still plays alert. I have to quit the app when doing a presentation as any sms will interrupt me. Otherwise convienent and easy to use. Update: Now it deletes my messages as I am typing them. I will rate higher when fixed, as I actually really like the app otherwise. But this deleting as you type makes it useless.

I began to experience the “part-…xxxxx” text as part of all my messages. Since I’ve upgraded to El Capitan, tyhe app will not connect to the server to connect with my phone number. Fix it, please. I’ll change my rating. It worked fine until now. Until then, I’m stuck using the online web version.

Great app that lets us non Apple users text without our devices (if we don’t want to hassle with getting our phones out and texting). Issues with crashing earlier have been resolved but now also experiencing "——Part” issues. I also wish messages would sync back from the app to the device. A good start...

Ever since the last update, I get a message "------=_Part_330836133_10974069.1451934894704����” with random numbers after each text is received. I don’t get it when I send a text. The app is reliable in the sense that I receive/send all texts, but as others have mentioned, sometimes when you’re typing a message, the text disappears and you have to start over. It also crashes every now and then forcing you to reopen the app. Some emojis won’t display in the app (but they display on the phone itself). Running Yosemite.

If you install this app, you will get something like "———=_Part_76268305_1774214976.1450711918324” appended to all your messages. Super annoying and distracing. Verizon said they would fix it a month ago and still not fixed. Today they finally responded to mulitple user inquiries by blaming Apple for the delay. I’m gonna switch my service to AT&T just b/c of this app., it ruined my life.

—UPDATE Jan 11, 2016— Increasing from 1 star to 2 stars. I use the app daily and ‘it works’ but has much to be desired as pointed out from my original review. Shortly after upgrading to El Capitan, all incoming messages are suffixed with =_Part_xxxxxxxxx_xxxxxxxxxx.1452537993812����’. Looks like other users are having the same issue. —UPDATE Oct 26, 2015— The app no longer crashes when I hit enter. It fixed itself’ shortly afte writing the original review. —ORIGINAL REVIEW— The newer version looks much better except for a major flaw already pointed out in several reviews: You can’t resize the window smaller! The default is way too big. Hitting Shift+Enter should do a line break, not send the message. 2nd complaint, I can’t even use it. It keeps erroring out whenever I press enter to send a message :/ Just another big company with tons of resources but makes crap software.
