I installed this on iMac as well as Mac Book Pro. It fails to sync conversations at all. I uninstalled and then reinstalled with no joy. Disabled the firewall still fails. Disabled AntiVirus and it still won’t work. It will send ok, but that is about it. I am at a loss. it does work fine in windows10 on my surface pro3!

It was okay while it worked. Every once in a while I would miss a message, or my message wouldn’t send. Then, after about a week-and-a-half, it just stopped working completely. Wouldn’t send, wouldnt’ receive. I uninstalled, trashed all the files, and redownloaded the app, and still nothing. Don’t waste your time. You’ll get your hopes up, and then realize that the world is a cold, dark place, and then be sad about life. All because of this app. Thanks, Verizon.

This app works okay, better then some other reviews I have read. It is slick and has a good look, but sometimes my messages don’t sync. Additionally, when I am typing, sometimes my text randomly vanishes. It needs work. I switched from Google Voice/Hangouts to use Verizon’s messaging services, and so far I am not entirely happy with my decision.

Sometimes syncs with my phone, other times it doesn’t, which doesn’t matter ot me personally a whole lot. However today it started sending random unreadable nonsense to people I was messaging with instead of the actual messages I was trying to type. That’s no bueno.

This application on some systems causes 100+% CPU utilization. Processor runs hot causing fans to run top speed. Uninstall and reinstall and it does not correct the problem. VerizonWireless technical is no help. They just tell you something is incompatable. Never installed this applicaiton on a laptop. It will kill the battery very quickly. Often crashes diring the day whether or not it is in use or running in the background. Causes HIGH CPU usage and High Energy impact as indicated on the Activity Monitor. Also, often does not receive messages on the desktop even though they arrive okay on the handheld devices. It’s a great start but needs some updates and bug fixes quickly. I would not suggest you install this applicaiton until Verizon fixes the application.

The concept is great. So great that the fact that the app doesn’t work makes me hate verizon. Text gets autodeleted while typing. Unbearably frustrating. If Verizon ever gets this right it will be a huge win. Until then….

FINALLY! The bug that caused long messages to get deleted if you didn’t type and hit send fast enough is fixed. The app is finally usable, after months and months of aggravation.

Seems like it only displays about 80-90% of the messages sent to you. A lot of times I can look at my phone and realize there’s texts on there I never responded to, because I was using this app and didn’t realize someone sent me a message.

I always wait to update to the new OS on my mac because something is always wrong or doesn’t work quite right following the update. Verizon messages is that one issue. It refuses to send messages now that I am running El Capitan. Hopefully they will fix this soon.

This app is outdated. It does not function on my work computer while on the business network. It does work everywhere else and on all my other devices. There are posts in the useless Verizon Community where users have the same issue but Verizon refuses to fix the problem. I have attempted to contact Verizon directly about the issue but their customer service is even more useless than the community. This is the ONLY app on my Mac that does not function with my business network, which means IT’S THE APP AND NOT THE NETWORK that is the issue. FIX IT!

When chatting w/iMessage users, it send the same message multiple times (up to 4x) in a row or sometimes dispersed randomly throughout the thread. Otherwise the app is a nice try in duplicating iMessages (former iOS user here). Please work on this!!! =)

Was reluctant to download after seeing these reviews, but program works perfectly for me on my Ipad and Macbook Air. I honestly was planning on switching to Sprint in July but this app has made me have second thoughts because of how important this function is to me.

The concept of this app is great. When it works, it is quite helpful. The problem is that the app is completely unreliable. Most recently the app crashes on open 100% of the time for me. Opens up, shows a list of messages, then crashes closed. In the past, the app would occasionally take a very long time to load, occasionally not load at all, or crash mid message. The app also seemsed to sync randomly with my phone. Some times 100% in sync, some times refused to sync sent messages for weeks. Contacts are randomly and not completely synced with the phone. No option for manual sync to force better behavior One star because the app is currently unusable. Would be 2 stars based on past performace. It would be 4-5 star app If verizon could get even the current app to work reliably.

I think this app has a ton of potential. If verizon just fixed some of the issues that make it frusterating to use. I haven’t noticed any real issues with the messages not showing up on the desktop however I have noticed that the app almost always will randomly refresh my text while im typing it. And that is really annoying.. If they fixed that I would give 4 maybe even 5 starts because everything else is great!

Anyways I have been looking for an app like this for a while and since i dont use an APPLE phone, Messages was never an option. So when i was very happy to come across this app, until i used it! :( I use my MacBook Pro all day and i cant stand having to look down at my beeping phone all day. I loved the idea of this app, however there are a few flaws, WELL actually just one BIG FLAW : IT LOOSES INCOMING MESSAGES and if they do come in its like five minutes after they popped of on the cell. I just hope verizon will read these problems we all have been having and fix the bugs. I know im not the only one with this problem .. AND to be honest if this app worked as its advertised i would def be willing to even pay for it!!!

My desk at work has very poor reception, so I happily downloaded this yesterday to have a texting app that would work over wifi. I already have had multiple messages (both sent and recieved on my phone) never arrive in this app… that’s a pretty bad sign. Also, as others have said, this app will not resize below a certain size, which is poor design. The window you type in cannot be expanded - also poor design. Even given those limitations, I will continue to try to use the app for another few days, but with less confidence that it is actually delivering all of my messages to me… because it isn’t.

Had to disable it from running in the background because it was eating up too much of my CPU...

Guys it would help alot if when i opened a text the entire screen didnt come up. i cant text in private from my laptop and i dont like that. it shouldnt take up 80% of the screen. messages dont show up many times or if they do its really late and ive received it on my phone already. i have the app bc i dont like having my phone on me 24/7 when im home or at school. this app needs alot of work. the potential is there just needs a designer to polish it up and make it better.

still crashes every time I try and open it. Useless app.
